Softball Recap: Space Coast Gets the Win

Space Coast won the last time they faced Titusville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vipers walked away with a 7-3 win over the Terriers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vipers.

Kylie Ulmer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Addilyn Orrick-Cole was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Minear, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Space Coast's record is now 9-6. As for Titusville, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Space Coast will square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.15 runs per game on average), something the Vipers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Titusville, they will face off against Cocoa Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terriers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
