Baseball Game Preview: Henry County Patriots vs. Hayes Pacers

The Henry County Patriots will take on the Hayes Pacers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Henry County's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Hayes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Henry County earned a 7-4 win over Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Noah Harber looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Jeremiah Townsend and Peyten Littleton did most of the damage at the plate: Townsend scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Littleton scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Townsend a new career-high in RBI (two). Noah McClure was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Hayes owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Collinsville.

Henry County's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Hayes, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
