Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Van-Far

Van-Far extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Pacey Reading. The Van-Far Indians really took it to the Silex Owls for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-31 win thanks in part to Reading, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Huff, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Van-Far's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Silex, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Van-Far and Macon will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Silex, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Veritas Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
