Preview: Gardena Panthers vs. Narbonne Gauchos
The Gardena Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Narbonne Gauchos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Narbonne took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gardena, who comes in off a win.
Gardena stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 27-7 margin over Carson.
Myles Mason was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. Isaiah Kim was another key contributor, throwing for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Narbonne came up short against San Pedro two weeks ago and fell 35-26.
Gardena's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Narbonne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Gardena and Narbonne were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in September of 2022, but Gardena came up empty-handed after a 22-21 defeat. Can Gardena avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
