Volleyball Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

The Morgan Mustangs came up short against the Sumner Stingrays on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-14, 25-12.

Sumner's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elif Isikser, who had eight assists and six aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Mitchell, who had seven aces and six digs.

Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sumner, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Morgan and Sumner will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs are set to face off against their familiar foe Spoto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sumner will square off against rival Durant at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
