Volleyball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Comes Up Short

Whitman-Hanson Regional lost against Hingham back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Harbormen.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-11.

Despite the loss, Whitman-Hanson Regional saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nguyen Vo had 17 digs and two aces. Presley Giannino also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Whitman-Hanson Regional has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Hingham, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitman-Hanson Regional will challenge rival Quincy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hingham is set to face off against their familiar foe Plymouth South at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
