Baseball Game Preview: Pace Vikings vs. Rivera Raiders

The Pace Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Rivera Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pace is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Donna North on Friday. They fell 6-2 to the Chiefs.

Pace saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Solis, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Abraham Gutierrez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Rivera entered their tilt with Mercedes on Friday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Rivera pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Pace, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
