Clarkrange scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 14-8 to the Scott Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Thursday.

William Goodman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That run was his first of the season.

Clarkrange's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Scott, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Clarkrange will host Clinton County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Scott, they will head out to face off against Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
