Basketball Recap: Hutchison Comes Up Short

Hutchison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the North Pole Patriots, falling 74-14. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Patriots are ranked 30th).

Hutchison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for North Pole, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hutchison will take on Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Pole, they will face off against Ketchikan at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
