Softball Recap: Trinity Prep Comes Up Short

Trinity Prep fell victim to Scholars Guild Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Spartans. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Scholars Guild Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Trinity Prep Lions take on Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Creekside Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.6 runs per game on average), something Trinity Prep will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Scholars Guild Academy, they will square off against Skipstone Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Spartans have won five straight at home, while the Warriors won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
