Soccer Game Preview: Crenshaw vs. Jordan

The Crenshaw Cougars will head out to face off against the Jordan Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crenshaw will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against George Washington Prep on Wednesday. Crenshaw was the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over George Washington Prep. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jordan waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They won by a goal and slipped past the Hawks 2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Brayn Rivera and Christian Gonzalez scored both of Jordan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Crenshaw now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Jordan, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Crenshaw came out on top in a nail-biter against Jordan in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Will Crenshaw repeat their success, or does Jordan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
