Johnson County was the 17-16 winner over Hampton when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Johnson County Longhorns fell just short of the Hampton Bulldogs by a score of 15-14 on Tuesday. The Longhorns' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Avery Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nate Dorman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Johnson County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Hampton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson County will host Ashe County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hampton, they will challenge Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hampton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
