Recap: Jordan Warriors vs. Tompkins Falcons
The Jordan Warriors lost against the Tompkins Falcons back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Jordan's tough 49-24 loss to Tompkins might stick with them for a while. Jordan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zechariah Sample, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tompkins had a senior duo take command as Wyatt Young rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry and Caleb Blocker rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Blocker is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Tompkins, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Jordan will head out on the road to face off against Morton Ranch at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Morton Ranch is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Tompkins will take on Paetow at 6:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Paetow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 556th, while Tompkins is ranked 146th).
