Baseball Recap: Oakwood Victorious

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Oakwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Paris Tigers by a score of 11-8. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Chase Harrison, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Weston Frazier, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Oakwood's record now sits at 13-9. As for Paris, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Oakwood will head out to face off against Cissna Park at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.38 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Paris, they will welcome Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
