Baseball Recap: Wilson Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wilson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Whittier Cardinals 5-4. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Joshua Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Alex Han was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

The win got Wilson back to even at 1-1. As for Whittier, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Wilson will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cabrillo at 3:00 p.m. on March 3rd. We've got a battle between Cardinals coming up.
