The Idea Timberwolves had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past Friendship Tech Prep Academy with points to spare, taking the game 40-21. That's another feather in the cap for Idea, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Idea was led to victory by Asaisna Greene and Ar'Janay Jackson. Greene scored 13 points, while Jackson scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Carter, who scored 6 points.
Idea's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Idea will take on Parkside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against KIPP DC Legacy College Prep at 5:00 p.m.
