Basketball Game Preview: York Cougars vs. Lancaster Bruins

York hasn't had much luck against Lancaster recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The York Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Lancaster Bruins at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

York is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were beaten by Richland Northeast 68-23. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.

Despite the defeat, York had strong showings from Gracin Carroll, who posted ten points, and Brooklyn Dial, who put up two points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 65-55 to Ardrey Kell. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bruins came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 88th in South Carolina, while the Knights are ranked 207th in North Carolina).

York's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
