Basketball Recap: Exeter Township Takes a Loss

Exeter Township was the 50-46 winner over Hershey when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Exeter Township Eagles lost 69-49 to the Hershey Trojans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Trojans are ranked 41st).

Exeter Township's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Hershey, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Exeter Township will welcome Greater Latrobe at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th. Exeter Township will be up against Greater Latrobe's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.19 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hershey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Penn-Trafford on March 7th. Penn-Trafford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Hershey likes a good challenge.
