Baseball Recap: Hall Gets the Win

Hall won the last time they faced Sherrard and things went their way on Saturday too. The Red Devils walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Noah Plym made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Plym was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Plym wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Geno Ferrari, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Ferrari a new career-high. Clayton Fusinetti was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Hall's win bumped their record up to 12-8-1. As for Sherrard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hall will head out to square off against Erie-Prophetstown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sherrard, they will square off against Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Chargers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
