Football Recap: Briarwood Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Briarwood Academy lost to Edmund Burke Academy back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 28-21. Winning may never get old, but the Buccaneers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Cutler Fleming had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 190 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushing for 98 yards and one score. What's more, he racked up 133.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September.

Edmund Burke Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Hickman, who rushed for 46 yards and one TD, and also threw for 143 yards and one touchdown. 101 of those passing yards were hauled in by Cohen Felix, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Briarwood Academy's record now sits at 8-2. As for Edmund Burke Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

As of now, neither Briarwood Academy nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
