Basketball Recap: Martin Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Palmview typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Martin proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 74-66 victory over the Palmview Lobos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-38 back in January.

Despite the loss, Palmview still got an impressive performance from Jose L Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave L Gonzalez a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Juan Dominguez, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points.

Martin is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Palmview, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-14.

Martin will welcome Mission Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palmview, they will head out on the road to take on Cigarroa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
