Baseball Recap: Stagg Comes Up Short

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Boilermakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on Friday.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Stagg will challenge rival Sandburg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bradley-Bourbonnais is set to take on their familiar foe Andrew at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
