Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Takes a Loss

Cambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lassiter Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

Cambridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Cambridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lassiter, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

Coincidentally, Cambridge and Lassiter will both be playing Northview the next time they take the court. The Trojans will host the Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
