Baseball Recap: Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Comes Up Short

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics blew Coastal HomeSchool out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Coastal HomeSchool got their revenge. The Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats fell just short of the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes by a score of 5-3. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Matthew Farque made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Grayson K was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.
