Basketball Recap: Westmoore Starts off Right with Win over Union

Westmoore took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They secured a 60-56 W over the Union Redhawks. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 79-57 victory the Redhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Westmoore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grant Loper, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. That's the most rebounds Loper has posted since back in January. Garrett Loper was another key player, going 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points.

Westmoore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-53 loss against Crossings Christian on the 5th. As for Union, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-50 win against Edison on the 5th.
