Baseball Recap: Elyria Takes a Loss

Elyria fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Midview on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Middies by a score of 3-2. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Middies recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Elyria's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Midview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elyria will head out to face off against Rocky River at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Midview, they will venture away from home to challenge Olmsted Falls at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
