Softball Recap: Vidalia Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Vidalia's offense. They came up short against Family Community Christian on Friday, falling 10-0. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Vidalia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marlee Butler, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Butler hit this season.

Vidalia's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Family Community Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7.

Coming up, Vidalia will welcome Rayville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Family Community Christian, they will head out to take on Beekman Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
