Bishop O'Dowd has gone 8-1 against Encinal recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Bishop O'Dowd will head out on the road to face off against Encinal at 4:00 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Bishop O'Dowd's offense. They came up short against Castro Valley on Thursday, falling 12-0. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop O'Dowd saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dimitri Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Encinal hadn't done well against Piedmont recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Encinal came out on top against Piedmont by a score of 8-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Darren Olson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Encinal is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. Bishop O'Dowd's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Bishop O'Dowd beat Encinal 5-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Will Bishop O'Dowd repeat their success, or does Encinal has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
