Soccer Game Preview: Canyon vs. Steele

The Canyon Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Steele Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, it was close, but Canyon sidestepped Judson for a 3-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Steele waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rattlers. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Rattlers are ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Darriyn Morales and Aaron Delgadillo scored all three of Steele's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 46 goals.

Steele's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-3. As for Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-5.
