Basketball Recap: Okmulgee Comes Up Short

If Okmulgee was riding high fresh off their 48-27 takedown of Webster back in December of 2025, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 58-38 to the Catoosa Indians on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Catoosa found their leader in sophomore Olivia Bowen, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 26 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowen has scored all season. Lucy Martinez was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Okmulgee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Catoosa, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Okmulgee has already played their next game (against Pawnee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Catoosa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-5 victory against Liberty on the 8th.
