Baseball Recap: Clements Find Success

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Clements nor Shoals Christian made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Colts came out on top against the Flame by a score of 8-4. The Colts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Flame, too.

Hayden Tucker was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases and two runs. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Borden, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

The win got Clements back to even at 2-2-1. As for Shoals Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Clements will take on Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shoals Christian, they will challenge Athens Bible at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
