Basketball Recap: Antioch Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jayshawn Philpot and Devin Simes

Antioch lost against Foothill back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Antioch Panthers fell to the Foothill Falcons 50-45.

Antioch's loss came despite strong showings from Devin Simes and Jayshawn Philpot. Simes went 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points, while Philpot posted seven points and nine rebounds. Ke'Mari Rowe-Simms was another key player, putting up nine points.

Antioch's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Foothill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Antioch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-47 victory against Deer Valley on the 7th. As for Foothill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-40 win against Hillsdale on the 6th.
