Basketball Recap: Alcorn Central Takes a Loss

Alcorn Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 67-58 to the Biggersville Lions. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 51-46.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Biggersville, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alcorn Central will challenge Mantachie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Biggersville, they and Tupelo Christian Prep will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
