Volleyball Recap: Clear Fork Takes a Loss

If Clear Fork was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cardington-Lincoln on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts came up short against the Highland Fighting Scots on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

While Clear Fork was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-22.

Rozy Stover paced Clear Fork's offense, picking up eight kills. Stover got some help from Brinly Epneris and her 14 assists. Millie Chamberlain controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Clear Fork has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Highland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Clear Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against River Valley on the 2nd. As for Highland, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Ontario on the 2nd.
