Football Game Preview: St. Paul Flyers vs. John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles

St. Paul hasn't had much luck against John F. Kennedy Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Flyers will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

St. Paul had taken Monroeville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Flyers fell 33-28 to the Eagles.

Despite their defeat, St. Paul saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Landon Fries, who rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, was perhaps the best of all. Connor Lindenberger was another key receiver, picking up 52 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

St. Paul didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Levi Rospert and Casey Fries, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Meanwhile, John F. Kennedy Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 19-7.

The win got John F. Kennedy Catholic back to even at 5-5. As for St. Paul, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-5.

St. Paul was dealt a bruising 35-7 defeat at the hands of John F. Kennedy Catholic when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Can the Flyers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
