Volleyball Game Preview: Nansemond River Warriors vs. Deep Creek Hornets + How To Watch

The Nansemond River Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Deep Creek Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deep Creek took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nansemond River, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Nansemond River turned things around against Lakeland on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cavaliers. The Warriors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

Meanwhile, Deep Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Western Branch, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-16.

The win got Nansemond River back to even at 8-8. As for Deep Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Nansemond River beat Deep Creek 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
