Baseball Recap: Neoga Extends Winning Streak to Three

Neoga won the last time they faced Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians walked away with a 5-2 win over Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Neoga got a great performance from Kanen White as he struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave White a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Colin Blazich was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Cayden Hakman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Neoga's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Neoga wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-7 win against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] on the 12th. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Martinsville on the 14th.
