Basketball Recap: Buckhorn Takes a Loss

Buckhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 58-37 to the Powell County Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-36 back in December of 2024.

Buckhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Powell County, they moved to 2-16 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Buckhorn has already played their next matchup (against Lee County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Powell County will head out on the road to challenge Breathitt County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
