Basketball Game Preview: Johnson Knights vs. Dawson County Tigers

The Johnson Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Dawson County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson is looking for their season's first victory.

On Tuesday, Johnson took a blow against Greater Atlanta Christian, falling 89-19. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Spartans are ranked 111th).

Meanwhile, Dawson County was able to grind out a solid win over Pickens on Tuesday, taking the game 53-46.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Dawson County, their record now sits at 11-7.

Johnson was taken down by Dawson County 74-12 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Johnson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
