Brunswick won the last time they faced Lowndes and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Brunswick had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-22, 17-15.

Aubrey Rook paced Brunswick's offense, picking up ten kills. Rook got some help from Kate Small and her 22 assists. Ashley Adair controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Lowndes, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5.

Coincidentally, Brunswick and Lowndes will both be playing Glynn Academy the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Terrors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
