Softball Recap: Monrovia Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Monrovia won the last time they faced Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Raiders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Jocelyn Donitzen was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Fair, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Monrovia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Monrovia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
