Softball Recap: Clarksburg Gets the Win

Clarksburg posted their closest victory since March 10th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bradford Red Devils 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-12 back in March.

The victory made it two in a row for Clarksburg and bumps their season record up to 8-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Bradford, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarksburg will face off against Middleton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.3 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bradford, they are taking a road trip to take on Halls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
