Basketball Recap: Lausanne Collegiate Find Success

First Assembly Christian came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Lausanne Collegiate, but Marion Brewer wouldn't allow it. The Lausanne Collegiate Lynx blew past the First Assembly Christian Crusaders 64-23 on Thursday thanks in part to Brewer, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 17 points. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high.

First Assembly Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Charlie Goss, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards, and Kylan Alexander, who posted three points and seven rebounds.

Lausanne Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for First Assembly Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lausanne Collegiate will take on Harding Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lausanne Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. As for First Assembly Christian, they will challenge Evangelical Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
