Sherrard and Newman Central Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Sherrard had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Comets by a score of 2-1. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sherrard's loss dropped their record down to 28-5-1. As for Newman Central Catholic, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-18.

Sherrard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newman Central Catholic, they are taking a road trip to take on Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
