Football Recap: North Cedar Takes a Loss

North Cedar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats 69-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 49-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

North Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Maquoketa Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Cedar is set to take on their familiar foe East Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Maquoketa Valley will face off against rival East Buchanan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
