Flinthills extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jacob Hunter. The Flinthills Mustangs came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against the West Elk Patriots thanks in part to Hunter, who went 9-for-15 en route to 25 points. The matchup was his tenth in a row with at least 17 points.

Mason Randall was another key player, putting up four points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why West Elk lost on Tuesday, don't look at Maddex Moreno. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Peyton Fechter, who earned six points and three steals.

Flinthills' record is now 10-7. As for West Elk, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-7.

Flinthills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-45 win against Caldwell on the 14th. As for West Elk, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-40 defeat against Burlingame on the 13th.
