Baseball Recap: Prescott Gets the Win

Prescott's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 21-6 margin over the Apache Junction Prospectors. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Badgers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Kaden Lampe looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Lucas Tobin was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Ashton Whitwell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Prescott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Prescott's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Apache Junction, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Prescott didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-6 loss against Williams Field on the 1st. As for Apache Junction, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Coronado at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Coronado their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
