Baseball Recap: Argenta-Oreana Triumphs

Argenta-Oreana was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past the Sullivan Redskins 1-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bombers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

MJ Hall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Argenta-Oreana is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Hall was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Argenta-Oreana's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Sullivan, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Argenta-Oreana is set to take on their familiar foe Unity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sullivan will square off against rival Okaw Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
