Volleyball Game Preview: St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers vs. South Burlington Wolves + How To Watch

The St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers will head out to take on the South Burlington Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for St. Johnsbury Academy and eight for South Burlington.

St. Johnsbury Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Essex, who was ranked first at the time (St. Johnsbury Academy was ranked 13th). The Hilltoppers came up short against the Hornets on Monday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-19.

Meanwhile, South Burlington lost 3-0 to Essex on Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-15, 25-7.

South Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for St. Johnsbury Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

St. Johnsbury Academy skirted past South Burlington 3-2 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Will the Hilltoppers repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
