Softball Recap: Cold Springs Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Cold Springs and Holly Pond have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Cold Springs' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for Holly Pond, they moved to 2-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Holly Pond wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-5 loss against Fairview on the 5th. Hopefully Cold Springs payed attention to the Broncos' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
